Amblyopia or "Lazy Eye"

Amblyopia, also known is "lazy eye", is a condition that usually begins in childhood when one eye has much better focus than the other.  When the child's brain gets a blurry image and a clear one, it starts to ignore the blurry one.  If left untreated over a long period of time, the vision in the blurry eye will get worse, which can lead to permanent damage.
