Find Relief for Gritty, Dry Eyes
If you’re dealing with dry, scratchy, or gritty eyes, you might be suffering from dry eye disease. Our clinic provides in-depth consultations to diagnose dry eye and identify its root cause. Once we’ve determined the cause of your symptoms, we’ll work with you to develop an effective treatment plan.
At Eyecare Plus, we invest in treatment technologies that provide effective relief from dry eye symptoms by targeting the root cause, not just the symptoms. Our technologies include intense pulsed light therapy, radiofrequency, and more, which target different causes of dry eye and help restore tear production and circulation in and around the eyes.
If you’re struggling with dry eye symptoms or searching for different treatment options, we’re here to help. Book your appointment today!

Treatments Tailored to You
We want to understand your symptoms, lifestyle, and the impact of dry eye on your quality of life. As part of your consultation, we’ll discuss your experiences and match our treatment plan to both your condition and your life.
Dry eye treatments should help you find relief. That’s why we use treatment methods that are gentle, safe, noninvasive, and effective.

Energy-Based Treatments
Our energy-based treatments use innovative technology to stimulate the muscle, increase circulation, reduce inflammation, and improve the function of your meibomian glands, which are responsible for the oil layer of your tear film.
These treatments have added cosmetic benefits, as they often result in increased skin tightening, reduced inflammation (puffiness), and restored muscle strength around the eyes.
OptiLIFT combines radiofrequency and dynamic muscle stimulation to reduce dry eye symptoms by improving the function of the oil glands in your eyelids and strengthening eyelid muscles for better blinking.
The Lumenis Optima IPL treatment uses intense pulse light therapy to help stimulate collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve the function of your tear glands.
ThermiEyes RF uses radiofrequency waves to safely heat the area around your eyes and unclog the meibomian glands. RF therapy also helps to promote the production of collagen, keratin, and elastin while draining the lymphatic system around the eyes.
In-Office Treatments for Dry Eye
Beyond energy-based treatments, we also offer other in-office treatments. Depending on the cause of your dry eye, we may recommend these treatments alone or in addition to other in-office or at-home methods.
The LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation device uses heat and gentle pressure to massage and unclog the meibomian glands, improving oil production and tear quality. The treatment is short, lasting around 12 minutes per session.
The BlephEx device is used during in-office treatments to clear meibomian glands from blockages. The device gently exfoliates to remove debris, bacteria, and excess oils from the eyelids and lashes.
Punctal plugs are tiny devices about the size of a grain of rice that are placed in the eye’s tear ducts. The plugs prevent tears from draining and help to maintain more moisture on the surface of the eye, relieving dry, burning, or gritty feelings.

Sometimes your symptoms can be treated with at-home solutions. The severity of your symptoms, your ability to come into the clinic regularly, and the cause of your dry eye are all taken into consideration when designing a dry eye treatment plan.
We may also recommend at-home methods in addition to in-office treatments. Some of the methods we may suggest include:
- Eye Masks & Compresses: Adding a warm eye mask or compress to your daily routine can provide relief and boost comfort.
- Medicated Eye Drops: Prescription eye drops provide more targeted relief from dry eyes.
- Preservative-Free Eye Drops: If eye drops irritate your eyes, preservatives might be to blame. Preservative-free eye drops soothe dry eye symptoms for sensitive eyes.
- Omega-3 Supplements: These omega-3 fatty acid supplements are formulated specifically to support healthy eyes and tears..
- Lifestyle Adjustments: Consider small adjustments if dry air or contact lenses are aggravating your symptoms. Using a humidifier, taking screen breaks, and discussing your symptoms with an optometrist can help keep your eyes comfortable.
